When applying for a Schengen visa please select the destination you will be staying in for the lengthiest time as you will be required to submit an application to the consulate of the country you will be staying in for the longest duration.

Austria visa application form. For online orders, please download, print and sign Austria visa application, prepared by our system under your account.

Original, signed passport. Passport must have at least 6 months remaining validity on the date of travel and have at least 2 visa page clear of any markings. Passports which were issued over 10 years ago cannot be accepted.

Passport-type photograph: One recent (not older than 3 months), passport-size, UK standard, colour photo with white or grey background.

Proof of Status. UK Residence permit, endorsed in the passport or issued as a Biometrics card, must be valid for at least 90 days beyond the return date of the trip to the Schengen Area; C type visitor visa is not acceptable.

Previous Visa. Photocopies of previous Schengen visas issued in the last 3 years, if applicable.

Hotel Reservations. Copy of confirmed hotel reservations including name of the applicant, name and address of the hotel, duration of stay. If the applicant’s name is not mentioned on the accommodation reservation, then a joint travel confirmation letter, signed and dated by the person whose name is on the reservation, must also be provided along with a photocopy of that same person’s passport/ID card + passport signature page, if signature is not on passport’s bio page. When accommodation is reserved for a group, then a list with the names of the group members will also be required; alternatively, the group members their names may also be mentioned on the travel ticket.

Travel insurance (all-risk medical travel insurance). The travel insurance must be issued in the UK only – clearly showing the applicant’s name - has to be valid throughout the complete territory of the Schengen Area and must cover the entire period of the applicant’s intended stay in the Schengen Area; the minimum coverage for medical emergency and repatriation (in case of death clause included) must be €30,000

Proof of employment.
• Employer letter (original – scanned copy): recent (less than 1 month old), signed , headed letter (addressed to the Mission, name and position of the signee and confirming applicant’s employment) and last month’s Payslip.
• Student letter (original – scanned copy): recent (less than 1 month old), signed, UK school/college/university letter (addressed to the Mission, name and position of the signee and confirming applicant’s enrolment)
• Self-Employment letter (original): recent (less than 1 month old), signed, headed letter (addressed to the Mission, name and position of the signee and confirming applicant’s self-employment) and obtained from (if applicable):

Proof of travel. • Confirmed return travel tickets: mentioning applicant’s name and travel dates to & from Cyprus. Flights are only accepted when they are fully booked and confirmed, arriving and departing from either Larnaka or Paphos airports. Flights booked through Ercan airport are not accepted.
• When travelling by car: car registration, car insurance, return travel tickets (ferry) mentioning the car’s registration number and driver’s driving licence. If applicant is not the driver, then driver’s cover letter (signed & dated) confirming joint travel with applicant and travel dates need to be provided too.

Proof of sufficient funds. Latest 3 months UK current account bank statements showing applicant’s name, address and a positive end balance dated within 1 week on the visa application submission date. Bank balance needs to show a sufficient amount to cover the expenses during the intended stay in the Schengen Area and for the return to the UK or the country of origin/residence; alternatively online bank account printouts are also accepted.
Visa applications should be submitted for a maximum of 6 months, and no later than 15 days, before the trip.
NOTE: You need to apply for Schengen visa 1 month in advance at least. The applicant must reserve an appointment and appear in person at the nearest Consulate of Austria. Processing time counts after booked appointment at the visa centre.
